This ethically crafted ring is part of our in house 100 Ways collection of new fine jewellery made with recycled and reclaimed materials. The centre diamond is a vintage Old European cut diamond, which was most popular between the 1890s and 1930s. The mounting is new and made from recycled 18kt gold. The accent emeralds and diamonds were sourced new.
The Diamond features a high crown, a small table, and a large, open culet. The cut is known for its distinct and romantic pattern of light return, often described as "flashes" or "blobs" of light, compared to the "splintery" light of a modern round brilliant cut.
