Refined surface adds tactile calm
Though this is an antique piece, this bar-style of ring can feel very contemporary because of its sleek, linear design. Made in 18K yellow gold, it is set with three old-European cut diamonds of excellent clarity that offer a combined weight of 1.26 carat. They are complemented by the rich hue of the gold and the bold lines of the black enamel at the shoulders and undergallery. Made by Birks, this old beauty is mysteriously engraved inside the band "June 5, 1895 - Mary - April 13, 1909." These dates, in combination with the black enamel, allow us to reasonably deduce this could have been a mourning ring.
